Am Sonntag, dem 1. März war der Stichtag zum Buchen der Port Adventures für Castaway Club Silver Member, was wir auch prompt wahr genommen haben. Wir haben nun in jedem Port of Call ein Port Adventure reserviert und denken, dass wir für uns jeweils was Passendes und Interessantes gefunden haben.

Hier mal ein Überblick über die Port Adventures, welche wir reserviert haben:

Tallin, Estland

Town and Country Life

  • Drive approximately 15 minutes to Tallin's upper town where your walking tour will begin. Note: This tour includes approximately 0.75 miles of walking at a steady pace, part of which will be on cobblestones and/or uphill. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Take a short walk to Palace Square, bordered by the Parliament House (1920-22) and the Russian Orthodox Church (1900). Note: An inside visit of the church cannot be guaranteed due to possible religious ceremonies.
  • Stroll to St. Mary's Cathedral (Dome Church), dedicated in 1233. Continue through narrow cobblestone lanes to 2 scenic viewpoints fora magnificent panoramic view of the lower town with its towers and steeples.
  • Re-board your coach and drive through the western part of Tallinn to Esko Farm which specializes in rearing cows.
  • Enjoy a hands-on experience learning to make yogurt and kama, a typical Estonian dessert, before sampling some of the products made at the farm.
  • Continue through Saku, famous for the Saku Brewery, to the town of Nõmme. Upon arrival, visit a typical small private house for an insight into Estonian life.
  • Enjoy walking around the premises before joining the hostess for a cup of coffee and homemade cake (other beverages available).
  • Take an approximate 30-minute drive back to the pier.
St. Petersburg, Russland

City Highlights and Hermitage

  • Begin with a 3-hour city tour. Your first photo stop will be at the St. Isaac's Square dominated by the majestic 19th-century Saint Isaac Cathedral which includes the 4th largest dome in the world (outside visit only). Note: This tour includes approximately 1.5 miles of walking at a steady pace, part of which will be on cobblestone, uneven and gravel surfaces, and approximately 125 stairs. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Pass the Palace Square, the main square of the city, beautifully balanced and proportioned around the Alexander Column.
  • View the beautiful Winter Palace—home to the world-famous Hermitage Museum.
  • Drive across the Neva River and view the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, flanked by two Rostral Columns originally lighthouses.
  • Enjoy there the magnificent view of the Neva River in its widest part. In front,is the Peter and Paul Fortress, the first structure of the city.
  • The coach drives past the Artillery Museum and passes along the Petrograd side where Art Nouveau architecture flourished at the end of the 19th century.
  • The coach proceeds to one of the main landmarks of St. Petersburg—the Church of Resurrection on the Spilled Blood (outside visit only).
  • From here you will reach Nevsky Prospect—not just St. Petersburg's, but Russia's most famous street.
  • You will pass the Decembrists Square animated by a superb work of sculpture—the magnificent equestrian statue of Peter the Great known as the Bronze Horseman.
  • Enjoy lunch (included in the price of this tour) at one of the best St. Petersburg restaurants, before continuing your exploration of St. Petersburg with a visit to the Hermitage.
  • Arrive at the Winter Palace and commence a guided tour of the elegant Winter Palace with its magnificent halls and state rooms.
  • The 2.5-hour tour of the Hermitage will concentrate mainly on the works of the Italian Masters, French Impressionists as well as the Dutch and Flemish artists.
  • You will also see other exhibits featuring porcelain, pottery, silverware, furniture and antiques.
  • Take an approximate 30-minute drive back to the ship.
Helsinki, Finnland

City of Helsinki

  • Begin with an approximate 15-minute drive passing the shipyard along the coastal road past Embassy Park and the colorful open-air market before making a stop to visit Senate Square with the elegant Lutheran Cathedral. En route you will also pass Uspenski Cathedral and see the Icebreaker fleet docked for the summer season. Note: This tour includes approximately 0.5 miles of walking at a leisurely pace, part of which will be on cobblestones, steps and/or uphill. Guests should wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Continue onto Mannerheim Street, which is the main street through the city, where you can see the Parliament House, National Museum and Finlandia Hall, which is the concert and convention center designed by the famous architect Alvar Aalto. You will also pass the new Contemporary Art museum, Kiasma, designed by the American architect Steven Holl.
  • Continuing on, you will pass the new Opera house completed in 1993 and then make a photo stop at the Olympic Stadium, venue of the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952.
  • The tour then takes you to visit Sibelius Park where you can photograph the monument of over 600 steel pipes, which honor the great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.
  • Make one final photo stop at the unique Temppeliaukio Rock Church blasted into solid rock.
  • Drive back to the pier.
Stockholm, Schweden

Knights and Fairytales

  • Take an approximate 15 minute drive to the Royal Armory, the oldest museum in Sweden, founded by King Gustav II Adolf in 1628.
  • Enjoy an approximate 60-minute tour of the Armory by the "Castle Mouse," who's lived in the cellars for hundreds of years. On this exclusive tour, he'll tell tales of royal weddings, glittering parades, jousting tournaments, and princes and princesses who've grown up in the Palace.
  • Travel to the Junibacken Children's Museum. This fairy-tale museum is dedicated to Sweden's much-loved author Astrid Lindgren, who has written around 100 children's books, translated into 74 languages. At Junibacken you will find most of her favorite characters. Take a trip on the Story Train to meet Mardie at home in her garden, Emil at his farm in Lönneberga and Karlsson-on-the-roof. See Nils Karlsson-Pyssling's room and meet the huge dragon close to Ronja the Robber's Daughter. This is an exciting ride in a train that floats through the air. Afterwards it's time to play in Pippi Longstocking's funny house called Villa Villekulla.
  • Have free time to explore the museum on your own after your approximate 60-minute guided tour.
  • On your drive back to the pier, you'll pass Diplomat Town, the fashionable district of Östermalm, while catching a glimpse of the Old Town.

Ich habe es mal auf dänisch probiert und bin auf einem Parkplatz am frihavn gestoßen. Dieser kostet pro Woche ebenso 90€ und wird von der Hafen Behörde betrieben, dein Auto sollte also sicher untergebracht sein. Ob eine Reservierung möglich ist weiß ich nicht. Jedoch gibt es eine Info Hotline.

Die Preise für die Fähre nach Rødby sind übrigens wieder einmal gestiegen, so dass man nur zur Brücke raten kann [emoji2]

Deine Sorgen bzgl valet parking kann ich verstehen. Jedoch ist es in Dänemark für Staatsbürger nicht erlaubt Kfz mit ausländischen Kennzeichen zu bewegen -von ausnahmen abgesehen. Eine fröhliche Rundfahrt nach Feierabend kann man daher ausschließen [emoji6]

Also das Thema Anreise mit dem Auto haben wir so gut wie vom Tisch. Ab Samstag können wir die Fahrt mit der Bahn buchen und wenn hier ebenfalls ein günstiger Sparpreis verfügbar ist, dann werden wir diese Art der Anreise nehmen.

Kennt jemand ein akzeptables und günstiges Hotel (mit eigenem Bad & WC) in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs?

Etwas wirklich günstiges wirst Du in Bahnhofsnähe sicherlich nicht finden. Ich habe vor ein paar Jahren mal in einem Ibis übernachtet. Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein und für dänische Verhältnisse günstig.

Jetzt haben wir An- und Abreise geklärt und gebucht und auch die Übernachtung in Kopenhagen steht.

Wir werden in der Nacht vom gaaanz früh morgens von meinem Vater zum Bahnhof nach Hamburg gebracht, damit wir dort den Zug um 4:35 Richtung Kopenhagen nehmen können. Wir müssen einmal in Neumünster und einmal in Flensburg umsteigen und kommen dann um 11:22 Uhr in Kopenhagen an. Wir haben für die Nacht dann das Hotel Astoria in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs und des Tivoli. Mit Hotels war es nicht wirklich einfach etwas um die 100,- € zu bekommen, was nicht gerade ein Hostel, ein Hotel mit Gemeinschaftsbad oder ein Zimmer mit Stockbetten war und auch nicht zu weit ab liegt, sondern relativ zentral in der Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof, damit wir das Gepäck nach Ankunft nicht noch quer durch die Stadt schleppen müssen. Ich hoffe mal, dass es hier annehmbar ist, aber es ist ja auch nur für eine Nacht.

Die Rückreise findet dann ebenfalls mit der Bahn statt. Abfahrt in Kopenhagen um 11:59, Ankunft in Hamburg 18:14. Hier haben wir dann noch eine Anschlußverbindung nach Wilhelmshaven und kommen dann um 21:19 an und können dann hoffentlich unserem Sohn in die Arme fallen, der am Bahnhof auf uns wartet.

Damit sind nun alle Punkte abgearbeitet und es kann losgehen. Die Vorfreude steigt wieder einmal ein wenig mehr :)
