Kalifornische Sicherheitsbehörde schließt 3 Rides

Hiobsbotschaft aus Kalifornien: Soarin' over California, Space Mountain und das Matterhorn wurden wegen mangelnden Sicherheitsvorkehrungen für Angestellte vorläufig geschlossen.

"Three E Ticket attractions at the Disneyland Resort have been suddenly closed this weekend. The Matterhorn, Space Mountain and Soarin' Over California are now closed indefinitely, after state DOSH investigators on Friday disciplined Disneyland for the accident last November where an outside contractor cleaning the Space Mountain roof slipped and was slightly injured. The closed attractions all have at least one backstage area that don't meet the state requirement of harnessed fall protection for any employee walkway with more than a 30 inch drop opposite a hand rail. Disneyland is rushing to find quick fixes for these backstage areas this weekend to satisfy DOSH, and several other E Tickets were delayed in opening by several hours Saturday morning for inspections. The rest of the Anaheim attractions will be inspected for DOSH compliance in the next few days, and more temporary closures are possible."

Ich dachte schon, es geht um die Rides selbst, aber anscheinend dreht es sich um deren Backstagebereich! Muss man deshalb die ganzen Attraktionen schließen, kann das nicht im Hintergrund passieren? Ist genauso wie bei Alice in Wonderland, wo sie plötzlich auf den Trichter gekommen sind, dass dort auch Geländer fehlen. Über 50 Jahre lang lief alles ohne jegliche Vorfälle und jetzt muss man das auf einmal ändern?! Sicherheit ist ja schön und gut, aber ein bisschen kommt das auch wie Schikane rüber!

At Disneyland Park, Space Mountain is closed.
Matterhorn Bobsleds has been closed for a few days, but was scheduled to close for testing Monday through Thursday for the next two weeks, beginning April 15.
Soarin' Over California is closed at Disney California Adventure.

Update (14.04.): Matterhorn hat wieder geöffnet.
Space Mountain und Soarin' sind weiterhin geschlossen.

Über den ganz aktuellen Stand hab ich nichts gefunden. Während in Waiting Time Apps die Attraktionen mit Wartezeit geführt werden, hab ich in den Foren bisher noch keine endgüötige Bestätigung gefunden.
