hier mal ein par Eindrücke von der Animal Kingdom Lodge. Die Bilder sind 2007 entstanden als wir so ziemlich alle Disney Hotels erkundet besucht haben. Die Animal Kingdom Lodge gefiel uns dabei mit am besten.

Danke für die schönen Fotos. Das Hotel gefällt mir von den Bildern her auch total gut. Da würde ich bei einem nächsten WDW Besuch gerne mal wohnen wollen ....

Jetzt endlich kann ich mich da auch anhängen.:-)

Im November 2010 durfte ich 8 Nächte in einem Savannah View Room im Jambo House-Hauptgebäude der AKL verbringen. Die intensive Thematisierung des Resorts hat mir sehr gefallen.

Gebucht habe ich mir ein Savanna View Zimmer - dank 25% Room Only Discount bei disneyworld.com gab's das für $285/Nacht.

Zimmer 3329 wurde mir zugeteilt, Seite Kudu Trail und Blickrichtung wie gewünscht in die Arusha Savanna - das ist die quasi "Haupt"-Savanne auf der Innenseite des hufeisenförmig angelegten Hauptgebäudes der Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Alle Savannah View-Zimmer verfügen über 2 Queen Beds - so auch 3329:

In den ersten Tagen machten sich die Tiere relativ rar - kein Wunder. Der Lebensrhythmus der Tiere ist hier möglichst natürlich - sprich viele Tiere sind in der Dämmerung und nachts aktiv. Eines Tages klappte es dann aber doch noch und diese Giraffen liessen sich blicken:

Uzima Springs heisst der einzige Pool in diesem Resortteil und der weiss mit einem Zero-Entry-Einstieg zu überzeugen. Doch seit Rayman's Besuch wurde der Pool leider neu gestrichen - in traditionellem Blau. Dies aus Sicherheitsgrüden, damit die Lifeguards besser an den Boden sehen können. Somit ging die Storyline, dass dies ein afrikanisches Wasserloch sein soll, leicht verloren.

Die Animal Kingdom Lodge kann ich also nur empfehlen - ein sehr liebevoll thematisiertes Resort. Einziger Nachteil: Sehr weit weg vom Magic Kingdom und Downtown Disney.

Die AKL ist mein absolutes Lieblingshotel und das Theming ist einmalig, so dass wir es in jedem Urlaub einmal besuchen. Dennoch muss ich für mich sagen, dass ich in WDW kaum im Zimmer bin und somit der Preis für mich nur Perle vor die Säue geworfen wäre.

Das Hotel wäre auch für mich mal ein Traum, wird mir aber leider leider zu teuer. :2cents:

Da wir auch nie wirklich lange im Zimmer sind, lohnt sich das Hotel nicht so.

Ich glaube, ich investiere das Geld lieber in Sounivers :rotfl
